Damaged, old or oversized suitcases
Also covers: suitcase, suitcases, luggage, old fashioned suitcase, broken suitcase, travel case, travel trunk, trunks, good suitcase
Can you donate damaged, old or oversized suitcases to a UK charity shop? Usually not.
Why shops may refuse it
Damaged cases are hard to sell, and some shops do not have room for bulky or old-fashioned luggage.
What to do instead
Clean, modern cases with working wheels, zips and handles may be accepted locally or useful to refugee and homelessness projects. Ask first; recycle damaged cases or offer usable ones through a reuse group.
