Ornaments, antiques and artwork
Also covers: ornaments, paintings, picture frames, artwork, antiques, figurines, sculptures
Can you donate ornaments, antiques and artwork to a UK charity shop? Usually yes.
Why shops may refuse it
Clean, saleable decorative items are often welcome, but size, fragility, authenticity and local demand can affect acceptance.
What to do instead
Wrap fragile pieces without taping their surfaces. Flag signatures, maker's marks or possible value and ask a specialist before cleaning or altering an antique.
