Military and identifiable uniforms
Also covers: army uniform, military kit, camouflage uniform, police uniform, work uniform
Can you donate military and identifiable uniforms to a UK charity shop? Usually not.
Why shops may refuse it
Official uniforms can be misused for impersonation, so several charities refuse them.
What to do instead
Ask a relevant museum, archive or the issuing organisation. Remove or destroy identifying insignia only if that organisation advises it.
