Used or hardwired ceiling and wall lights
Also covers: ceiling light, wall light, light fitting, pendant light, hardwired lamp
Can you donate used or hardwired ceiling and wall lights to a UK charity shop? Usually not.
Why shops may refuse it
Removed hardwired fittings may be incomplete and cannot be tested as easily as a plug-in lamp; some shops only accept new, boxed fittings.
What to do instead
Offer complete modern fittings with instructions through a reuse group, or use a council small-electricals service.
